New Entrant to LD26 Race

The big news in LD 26 is that Vic Williams announced he will be running for Arizona House of Representatives. He has not yet filed any papers, but indicated he plans to do so soon. That brings the total Republican field to three forcing a primary in the district with Trent Humphries and Marilyn Zerull.

Although Vic had originally stated to some that he would not be running, rumours of his change of heart had been heard for some time. So, it wasn't particularly surprising when he made his announcement today.

No other Republicans have indicated interest in running for the two seats in '08.

There seems to be an overabundance of good candidates in Pima County. 2008 is the year Pima elects 4 seats on the Central Arizona Water Conservation District Board of Directors, the group that runs the CAP and the canal. We need more right thinking, tax reducing people on this Board. It is a non-partisan race in name only. We have people who will help elect conservatives, we just need viable candidates. My cell # is: (623) 221-4558 and my home is: (623) 931-9444.

I don't want to run any Pima campaigns. I want some good candidates to help shape up the CAP. They continually forget that they are a government and are having a great time on your money.
