Initial reports are showing:
Mitt Romney 23 million
Rudy Guilliani 15 million
John McCain 12.5 million
Chuck Hagel 87 cents, two Tootsie Rolls, and a Quizno's coupon
Certainly disappointing news for the McCain campaign, but there is still a long road ahead. We will offer more analysis when I can free some time up later.

I'm getting to the Thompson thing, but I don't believe Romney is too worried about the polls so far. The ones that I have seen are "surveyed adults" and not necessarily voters or especially primary voters.
What Romney has is no name recognition outside of political junkies. He can either spend a lot of money to make that up, or get a gig on a wildly popular television series.
McCain's name recognition will help ameliorate the money gap at least for now, but he needs to step it up, especially with the new primary schedule.
