When installing the latest Microsoft Security update, you may want to take special care. I have seen four unrelated Windows XP Pro computers unable to boot after installing the latest patch. Now this is not a plurality of the computers in my universe, but it is certainly enough to make me a bit suspicious.
I have seen several computers, including my own (before I became aware of the issue) that made it through OK. Just be sure to be cautious and back up your computer before applying the update. I don't want anybody to miss their blog time.
