Expect more of this. . .

In the threads there has been considerable discussion that with a Graf win, funding for his campaign would dry up. We have argued that the situation he faces would actually make him some type of conservative folk hero that would allow him to gather funds from a cross-section of disaffected conservatives across the country, even without NRCC support.

The "framing" of his candidacy on a national basis has already begun.

I'll bet that many of the major conservative publications and national reach blogsites won't be far behind.

All the money in the world wouldn't do Graf any good unless these disaffected conservatives decide to move to Arizona so they can vote in the district.

If you want to keep the seat in GOP hands you need to grit your teeth and vote for Huffman.

He may not always vote the way you'd like, but at least he'll be there to ensure a continued GOP majority which allows the party to select committee chairman, hold majorities and get bills passed.

Of course, if you'd prefer Speaker Pelosi, feel free to vote for Graf, Hellon or anyone else.

I may have voted for Huffman if he hadn't turned into such a total freakin' lying sack of crap. His smear campaign and the sheer amount of lies he's told during the campaign turned me off. I'm voting for Randy Graf just to spite Huffman. I wouldn't want Huffman to represent me anywhere, let alone in Congress. No one should vote for him.

Reading the papers and listening to the rhetoric of the left, it would seem that the Dems are on their way to victory. Fortunately, they rarely have a grasp on reality. The average voter I talk to on the streets favors Graf, including a fair amount of Conservative Democrats. In a District that has over 20,000 more Republicans than Democrats and with Independents tending to vote conservative more than not, the only way a Democrat could win the seat is if the "moderates" in the GOP cry like babies, hold their breath and don't vote on election day. It happened with the Salmon/Bayless debacle in 2002 when the moderates thought it would be better to have Napolitano as Governor. They got their wish. If the Republicans unify behind a true conservative, show up on election day, and vote, Graf will win with at least a 5 to 7 point spread.

Arizona Republican Party chairman Matt Salmon comes to the aid of poor Steve Huffman. Read more at Sonoran Alliance.

When the Colorado and New Mexico state Republican parties donated money to Huffman last week, it set off another firestorm. Mike Hellon, Frank Antenori and Mike Jenkins are as upset as Graf about the continued interference in this race, but they are not receiving contributions like the Graf campaign. The Graf campaign is reporting an influx of donations from upset party activists in these states suggesting that the folk hero concept may be taking hold.

Considering that the same tactics are being used against Graf as were used against Salmon, I'm extremely surprised (and saddened) that Salmon would defend Huffman. And I thought he had a spine. I wish we could choose a Party leader who would do what was right rather than what is convenient. That seems all too rare these days.

Salmon is TOAST! Republicans should force him to resign over this, or at the very least he'll never get elected to another Republican office as long as he lives. What a liar. No surprise he's out there defending Stevie the WonderWeasel. Liars, both of them. If a group is not formed to kick some intraparty ass over this mess, I'm leaving.

noflyzone,

Don't leave. The group is already formed. Just show up to the District 26 meeting on November 11th, 6265 N. La Canada Drive. The meetings start about 9:30 am.

That’s a great strategy, vote for the republican that doesn’t represent you or else you will get the democrat that doesn’t represent you. LOL! Seriously….
