Happy May Day

Today is May 1st, either protest day, or the day that final applications for Republican National committeemen are due, depending upon your affiliation.

In recognition of who we believe (or just perhaps hope) will be the eventual winner of the Committeeman slot, we introduce Bruce Ash as part of our goal to continue to bring you Republican leadership voices from the district.

Bruce will submit his short opinion pieces that will also be played on 690 AM. Unfortunately, due to delays on my part, these may be a little dated, but they are certainly relevant. Hopefully we can get him to write a little as well.

Without further delay:

Politics and Intolerance

On Civility. . .

I have known Bruce Ash for more than 20 years and I think we would be well served (as well as lucky) to have Bruce agree to serve in the role of National Committeeman for Arizona.

I loved the theme music from "The West Wing" behind his piece on Gonzales.

I agree, Julee. I think he would be excellent. Also, he is dead on with respect to Gonzales who not only handled recent events poorly, but has also been ineffective with the horribly inept attorneys he elected to keep.

somebody that made his living off of his daddy. He's my hero. Let's have him run the country

If "anonymous" pulled his/her head out of his/her ass long enough to grasp for air, maybe he/she would own up to the comment. Yes, Bruce Ash's father started a gret company, and yes Bruce continued in his foot steps, but the situation is far from "living off his daddy." Paul was and is a hard nosed son of a bitch who built the company from the ground up and didn't exactly hand over the reins to Bruce. Bruce busted his ass to take the company to where it is today. He works sun up to sun down--believe me, I know--I used to work directly for him. He is the consumate businessman and taught me many life and business lessons that I still apply today. And aside from his incredible dedication to his business, his real passions are his family and the communities he cares about, namely, Tucson, Israel and the Jewish community, and Arizona. He applies as much zeal to giving back to those around him as he does to every aspect of his life. To make such an ignorant comment demonstrates your complete lack of knowledge of the issues facing Tucson, Arizona, and the Republican party. Bruce would be a noble and magnanimous Republican national committeeman. Why do you even read this blog? Go back into your (ass) hole where you came from.

Evan,

Everything you said PLUS the AZ Republican National Committeeman does NOT run the country.

And GUESS WHO is living off her daddy? You got it.... someone who is much closer to helping to run the country.

Just out of curiousity, why is anon's comment objectionable (which it is) but you feel free to then make an exactly equivalent (and equally objectionable) remark?

Bruce Ash would make an excellent National Committeeman for Arizona.
