Breaking News in New York

Based on multiple televised reports and the word of breathless commentators, it appears that New York is beginning to smell exactly like New Jersey.

Sounds like a dry run to me. What better way to test dispersion factors and hazmat response times, etc.

I find it quite troubling that the mayor can come out on TV and say “We don’t know what it is, but it’s safe.”

Granted I know there are sniffers out there to rapidly analyze material to determine if it’s toxic, but there’s more to it than that.

What better way to see how a lethal substance will disperse, how wind and other weather patters will enhance or impede your chemical attack than to test it first with a benign substance that can be easily measured.

Duke the Dog, turning a rare moment of fun and frivolity into a sobering, scary realization. Stay away from my Orleans post :)
